    Notes for Consumers: Do not take Grapefruit juice or grapefruit-containing foods and Lonafarnib together without talking to your health care provider. Taking these together may increase the risk of serious side effects.
    Notes for Professionals: Advise patients to avoid grapefruit juice or grapefruit-containing foods during treatment with lonafarnib; concurrent use may increase the exposure of lonafarnib and the risk of adverse effects. Lonafarnib is a sensitive CYP3A4 substrate and grapefruit juice is a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor. Coadministration with another strong CYP3A4 inhibitor increased the exposure of lonafarnib by 425%.
