Verteporfin 15mg, Powder for solution for injection
• Interaction: Alcohol• Severity: Major• Notes for Consumers: Do not take ingest Ethanol (such as Alcoholic beverages) while you are receiving photodynamic therapy with Verteporfin. Ethanol may decrease the beneficial actions of Verteporfin. Verteporfin Injection is only used in a hospital or clinic. Discuss your drug regimen with your health care provider before receiving photodynamic therapy with Verteporfin.• Notes for Professionals: Compounds that inactivate oxygen species or scavenge free radicals such as ethanol would be expected to decrease the effects of verteporfin photodynamic therapy.
