Temsirolimus 25mg/1mL, Solution for injection
• Interaction: Grapefruit juice• Severity: Major• Notes for Consumers: Do not take Temsirolimus with Grapefruit Juice. Grapefruit Juice may increase the levels of Temsirolimus in your body and side effects from Temsirolimus may be worse.• Notes for Professionals: Avoid consumption of grapefruit or grapefruit juice with temsirolimus due to increased plasma concentrations of the primary active metabolite of temsirolimus (sirolimus). Temsirolimus is a CYP3A4 substrate and grapefruit juice is a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor. Coadministration with another strong CYP3A4 inhibitor did not significantly affect temsirolimus exposure, but increased the AUC and Cmax of sirolimus by 3.1-fold and 2.2-fold, respectively.
