TECOVIRIMAT (Te ka VIR ee mat) is an antiviral medicine. It is used to treat smallpox infection. It will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections.

What is this medication?
How should I use this medication?

Take this medicine by mouth. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Take this medicine with food. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Take all of your medicine as directed even if you think you are better. Do not skip doses or stop your medicine early.
Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. While this drug may be prescribed for selected conditions, precautions do apply.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
NOTE: This medicine is only for you. Do not share this medicine with others.
What may interact with this medication?

-midazolam
-repaglinide
-smallpox vaccine (live)

Where should I keep my medication?
