• Interaction: Alcohol• Severity: Moderate• Notes for Consumers: Avoid drinking alcohol-containing while taking thalidomide. You may feel drowsy or more tired when taking these drugs together. Do not drive or operate machinery if you are drinking alcohol-containing beverages.• Notes for Professionals: Avoid the concomitant use of thalidomide with alcohol (ethanol) due to the potential for additive sedative effects. Additionally, using thalidomide and alcohol together may potentiate the adverse effect of peripheral neuropathy.
