MOMETASONE (moe MET a sone) is a corticosteroid. Some sinus implants help decrease inflammation and open the sinus passageway after sinus surgery. Other sinus implants are used to reduce the occurrence of nasal polyps after sinus surgery.

Mometasone is a CYP3A4 substrate and grapefruit is a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor.
