    Interaction: Grapefruit juice
    Severity: Severe
    Notes for Consumers: Do not take Grapefruit juice with Naloxegol. Consuming Grapefruit Juice or grapefruit-containing foods may increase the risk of serious side effects from Naloxegol.
    Notes for Professionals: Patients should avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice during naloxegol treatment. Concomitant use of naloxegol with grapefruit juice is contraindicated. Naloxegol is metabolized primarily by CYP3A. Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors, such as grapefruit juice, can significantly increase exposure to naloxegol which may precipitate opioid withdrawal symptoms such as hyperhidrosis, chills, diarrhea, abdominal pain, anxiety, irritability, and yawning.
