    Notes for Consumers: Side effects from Gefitinib may get worse if you eat or drink Grapefruit or Grapefruit Juice. Tell your health care provider immediately if you notice any new or unusual side effects including difficulty breathing, stomach pain, diarrhea, changes in vision, rash, dark yellow or brown urine, general ill feeling or flu-like symptoms, light-colored stools, loss of appetite, nausea, unusually weak or tired, and yellowing of the eyes or skin.
    Notes for Professionals: Instruct patients they may experience increased side effects from gefitinib if they regularly consume grapefruit juice. Gefitinib is a CYP3A4 substrate and grapefruit juice is a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor. Coadministration with another strong CYP3A4 inhibitor increased gefitinib exposure by 80%.
