• Interaction: Grapefruit juice• Severity: Moderate• Notes for Consumers: Side effects from vismodegib may get worse if you drink grapefruit juice. Taking these drugs together may increase vismodegib levels in the body. Discuss any new or worsening side effects with your health care provider.• Notes for Professionals: Concomitant use of vismodegib and grapefruit juice may result in increased exposure of vismodegib and an increased risk of vismodegib adverse events. Vismodegib is a substrate of P-glycoprotein (PGP) and grapefruit is a PGP inhibitor. Use these agents together with caution and monitor patients for toxicity.
