    Notes for Consumers: You may feel drowsy or more tired when taking Citalopram and drinking alcoholic beverages or using products that contain alcohol. Do not drive or operate machinery if you have been drinking alcohol. You should avoid the use of alcohol while taking Citalopram.
    Notes for Professionals: Although citalopram has not been shown to increase mental and motor skill impairments related to alcohol consumption, the combination of citalopram and alcohol in depressed patients is not advised.
