VINORELBINE (vi NOR el been) is a chemotherapy drug. It targets fast dividing cells, like cancer cells, and causes these cells to die. This medicine is used to treat lung cancer.

    Notes for Consumers: Do not eat or drink grapefruit or grapefruit juice without talking to your doctor or healthcare professional while taking Vinorelbine. Grapefruit may increase the risk of side effects from Vinorelbine. Tell your health care provider immediately if you notice new or worsening constipation, stomach or abdominal pain, tingling in fingers and/or toes, or inability to pick-up items with your fingers.
    Notes for Professionals: Instruct patients that consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice may result in earlier onset and/or increased severity of vinorelbine-related adverse reactions, including constipation and peripheral neuropathy. Vinorelbine is a CYP3A4 substrate and grapefruit juice is a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor.
