    • Interaction: Grapefruit juice
    • Severity: Major
    • Notes for Consumers: Do not take drink Grapefruit Juice or eat Grapefruit while taking Tolvaptan without talking to your health care provider. Grapefruit may increase blood levels of Tolvaptan and increase the side effects seen with Tolvaptan. Contact your health care provide immediately if you experience confusion, mood changes, trouble speaking, uncontrollable body movements, seizures, or changes in heartbeat (fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat).
    • Notes for Professionals: Advise patients to avoid grapefruit juice while taking tolvaptan. Coadministration of grapefruit juice and tolvaptan has increased tolvaptan exposure by up to 1.8-fold.
