TERAZOSIN (ter AY zoe sin) is an alpha blocker. It treats high blood pressure in both men and women. It also helps treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men.

  • Lomitapide 5mg, Oral capsule

    • Interaction: Grapefruit juice
    • Severity: Severe
    • Notes for Consumers: Do not take drink grapefruit juice while taking lomitapide. Grapefruit juice may increase the amount of lomitapide in your body and increase the risk for serious side effects from lomitapide.
    • Notes for Professionals: Grapefruit juice must be omitted from the diet during lomitapide therapy. Grapefruit juice inhibits the enterocyte CYP3A4 isoenzyme and may decrease lomitapide metabolism.

  • Lomitapide 5mg, Oral capsule

    • Interaction: Alcohol
    • Severity: Moderate
    • Notes for Consumers: The risk for liver injury may be increased if you drink alcohol while taking Lomitapide. Do not drink more than one alcoholic drink per day while taking Lomitapide.
    • Notes for Professionals: Ethanol may increase levels of hepatic fat and induce or exacerbate liver injury. Patients taking lomitapide should not consume more than one alcoholic drink per day.
