TAZEMETOSTAT (taz e met oh stat) is a medicine that targets proteins in cancer cells and stops the cancer cells from growing. It is used to treat epithelioid sarcoma and a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), follicular lymphoma.
This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.

Take this medicine by mouth with a full glass of water. Follow the directions on the prescription label. You can take it with or without food. If it upsets your stomach, take it with food. Do not take with grapefruit juice. Do not cut, crush or chew this medicine. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take it more often than directed. Do not stop taking except on your doctor's advice.
A special MedGuide will be given to you by the pharmacist with each prescritpion and refill. Be sure to read this information carefully each time.
Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. While this drug may be prescribed for children as young as 16 years for selected conditions, precautions do apply.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
NOTE: This medicine is only for you. Do not share this medicine with others.

-female hormones, like estrogens or progestins and birth control pills, patches, rings, or injections
-fluconazole
-grapefruit juice
-midazolam
-St. John's wort

Your condition will be monitored carefully while you are receiving this medicine. You may need blood work done while you are taking this medicine.
Talk to your health care professional about your risk of cancer. You may be more at risk for certain types of cancer if you take this medicine.
Do not become pregnant while taking this medicine or for 6 months after stopping it. Women should inform their doctor if they wish to become pregnant or think they might be pregnant. Men should not father a child while taking this medicine and for 3 months after stopping it. There is a potential for serious side effects to an unborn child. Talk to your health care professional or pharmacist for more information. Do not breast-feed an infant while taking this medicine or for 1 week after stopping it.

If you miss a dose, skip it. Take your next dose at the normal time. Do not take extra or 2 doses at the same time to make up for the missed dose.

Side effects that you should report to your doctor or health care professional as soon as possible:
-allergic reactions like skin rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue
-bone pain
-breathing problems
-feeling faint; lightheaded, falls
-fever or chills, sore throat
-signs and symptoms of bleeding such as bloody or black, tarry stools; red or dark brown urine; spitting up blood or brown material that looks like coffee grounds; red spots on the skin; unusual bruising or bleeding from the eyes, gums, or nose
-unusually weak or tired
Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report these to your doctor or health care professional if they continue or are bothersome):
-constipation
-decreased appetite
-muscle pain
-nausea, vomiting
-stomach pain
-tiredness

Keep out of the reach of children.
Store below 30 degrees C (86 degrees F). Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.
