TALAZOPARIB (TAL a ZOE pa rib) is a chemotherapy drug. It targets specific enzymes within cancer cells and stops the cancer cell from growing. This medicine is used to treat breast cancer.

    Notes for Consumers: Do not take Talazoparib and Grapefruit Juice together without talking to your health care provider. Side effects from Talazoparib may get worse if you take Grapefruit Juice or grapefruit-containing foods. Contact your health care provider if you experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, signs of infection including fever or chills, cough, sore throat, pain or trouble passing urine, unusual bruising or bleeding, dark yellow or brown urine, general ill feeling or flu-like symptoms, light-colored stools, loss of appetite, right upper belly pain, unusually weak or tired, or yellowing of the eyes or skin.
    Notes for Professionals: Advise patients to avoid grapefruit juice while taking talazoparib due to increased talazoparib exposure. Talazoparib is a P-glycoprotein (P-gp) substrate and grapefruit juice is a P-gp inhibitor. Coadministration with other P-gp inhibitors increased talazoparib exposure by 8% to 45%.
