ENTRECTINIB (en TREK ti nib) treats some types of cancer. It works by blocking a protein that causes cancer cells to grow and multiply. This helps to slow or stop the spread of cancer cells.

    Notes for Consumers: Do not take Entrectinib and Grapefruit juice together without approval from your health care provider. Side effects from Entrectinib may get worse if you take Grapefruit juice or grapefruit-containing foods. Contact your health care provider if you experience increased tiredness, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, cough, constipation, diarrhea, vision problems, swelling, confusion, weight gain, joint or muscle pain, fever, swelling, chest pain, fainting or falling spells, palpitations, shortness of breath, or a change in your heartbeat (such as a fast or irregular heartbeat).
    Notes for Professionals: Advise patients to avoid grapefruit juice or grapefruit-containing foods while taking entrectinib due to increased entrectinib exposure. Entrectinib is a CYP3A4 substrate; grapefruit juice is a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor. Coadministration of a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor increased the AUC of entrectinib by 6-fold in a drug interaction study.
