This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.
Take this medicine by mouth with a drink of water. Take it as directed on the prescription label at the same time every day.
You may take this medicine with or without food. If it upsets your stomach, take it with food. Do not crush, cut, or chew the tablet.Keep taking it unless your health care provider tells you to stop.
A special MedGuide will be given to you by the pharmacist with each prescription and refill. Be sure to read this information carefully each time.
Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. Special care may be needed.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.

This medicine can cause a blood clotting problem called thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP). TTP is a rare but serious medical condition that can be deadly. Get medical help right away if you have purple spots on your skin or mouth; yellowing of the eyes or skin; general ill-feeling or flu-like symptoms; stomach pain; unusually weak or tired; fever; chest pain; trouble breathing; pain, swelling, or warmth in leg; confusion; severe headaches; trouble speaking; trouble walking; changes in vision; or trouble passing urine.
If you are going to have surgery, dental work or other procedure, tell your health care provider that you are using this medicine.
If you get black, tarry stools or vomit up what looks like coffee grounds, call your health care provider right away. You may have a bleeding ulcer.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.

Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Store at room temperature between 20 and 25 degrees C (68 and 77 degrees F). Keep this medicine in the original container. Protect from moisture. Keep the container tightly closed. Do not throw out the packet in the container. It keeps the medicined dry. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.
