BEROTRALSTAT (ber oh TRAL stat) is a plasma kallikrein inhibitor. It is used to prevent hereditary angioedema attacks.

    Notes for Consumers: Do not take Berotralstat with Grapefruit Juice without talking to your health care provider. Side effects from Berotralstat may get worse when taking with Grapefruit Juice. If your doctor decides that taking Berotralstat with Grapefruit Juice is right for you, the Berotralstat dose may need to be altered. DO NOT change the dose without talking to your prescriber. Your doctor will tell you how much to take. Contact your health care provider immediately if you experience persistent abdominal pain, vomiting, or diarrhea.
    Notes for Professionals: Reduce the berotralstat dose to 110 mg PO once daily in patients chronically taking grapefruit juice. Concurrent use may increase berotralstat exposure and the risk of adverse effects. Berotralstat is a P-gp substrate and grapefruit juice is a P-gp inhibitor. Coadministration with another P-gp inhibitor increased berotralstat exposure by 69%.
