We are happy to announce that Physicians Mutual will transition their current ScriptSave program to ScriptSave WellRx, a technology enabled prescription savings and management program. ScriptSave WellRx will not only deliver prescription discounts to Physicians Mutual’s Medicare Supplement, Life Insurance, and Annuity Insurance customers, it will also provide new tools that promote medication education and adherence. Customers will be equipped with a mobile app and website, which show medication prices at local pharmacies, provide helpful medication information and images, direct pharmacist support through “Ask a Pharmacist”, and reminder tools to promote adherence and wellness.

Adrenaclick® offers a true alternative to the high-priced EpiPen. It has been declared safe by the FDA, national pharmacies sell it, and its list price is a third less than the EpiPen’s. Both the EpiPen auto-injectors and the authorized generic of Adrenaclick are approved by the Food and Drug Administration and contain the same active ingredient as other epinephrine auto-injector devices. Additionally, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology includes generic Adrenaclick among therapeutic options in an anaphylaxis emergency action plan.
