Docetaxel 20mg/1mL, Concentrate for solution for injection
• Interaction: Grapefruit juice• Severity: Major• Notes for Consumers: Do not drink Grapefruit Juice while taking Docetaxel. Side effects from Docetaxel may get worse. If you notice new or worsening side effects such as fever or chills, sore throat, bruising, pinpoint red spots on the skin, unusual weakness or tiredness, diarrhea, difficulty breathing, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain and/or cramping, or if you notice new or worsening tingling in fingers and/or toes, or inability to pick-up items with your fingers, contact your health care provider immediately.• Notes for Professionals: Advise patients to avoid grapefruit juice while on docetaxel due to increased plasma concentrations of docetaxel. Docetaxel is a CYP3A4 substrate and grapefruit juice is a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor. Concomitant use with another strong CYP3A4 inhibitor increased docetaxel exposure by 2.2-fold.
