MILRINONE (MILL rih none) is an inotrope and vasodilator. It increases the strength of the heart muscle and widens blood vessels. It is used to treat heart failure.

This medicine is for infusion into a vein. It is given by a health care professional in a hospital or clinic setting.

-unusual bruising or bleeding

-headache
-nausea, vomiting
