METOCLOPRAMIDE (met oh kloe PRA mide) is used to treat the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) like heartburn. It is also used to treat people with slow emptying of the stomach and intestinal tract.

    Interaction: Foods with high protein content

    Notes for Consumers: For the best effect, take Levodopa at least 30 minutes before or 1 hour after you take food or meals. Taking Levodopa with food can decrease the drug's absorption into the body. Especially do not take Levodopa with foods that have a high protein, fat or fiber content.
    Notes for Professionals: Foods with a high protein content may interfere with the absorption of levodopa. It has been recommended to take levodopa at least 30 minutes before eating or one hour after meals.
