Potassium phosphate; sodium phosphate (poe Tass i um FOS fate; SOE dee um FOS fate) is used to increase phosphorus levels in the body. It is used for people who do not get enough phosphorus from their diet or need higher amounts. It is also used to make the urine more acidic. This helps prevent some kidney stones. This drug can also help some antibiotics treat urinary tract infections.
