Fedratinib 100mg, Oral capsule
• Interaction: Grapefruit juice• Severity: Major• Notes for Consumers: Do not eat or drink Grapefruit or Grapefruit Juice while taking Fedratinib. Grapefruit can increase the amount of Fedratinib in your blood and increase the risk of side effects including severe diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting; unusual bleeding or bruising; or signs and symptoms of liver injury like dark yellow or brown urine; general ill feeling or flu-like symptoms; light-colored stools; loss of appetite; right upper belly pain; unusually weak or tired; or yellowing of the eyes or skin.• Notes for Professionals: Advise patients to avoid grapefruit/grapefruit juice while taking fedratinib as fedratinib exposure may increase leading to increased adverse effects. Fedratinib is a CYP3A4 substrate; Grapefruit/grapefruit juice is a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor. Coadministration of another strong CYP3A4 inhibitor increased fedratinib exposure by 3-fold.
