• Interaction: Alcohol• Severity: Moderate• Notes for Consumers: You may feel drowsy or more tired if you drink alcohol while taking Perampanel. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know Perampanel affects you. Discuss any new or worsening side effects, such as confusion, dizziness, anger, or depression with your health care provider.• Notes for Professionals: Coadministration of perampanel with CNS depressants, including ethanol, may increase CNS depression. The combination of perampanel (particularly at high doses) with ethanol has led to decreased mental alertness and ability to perform complex tasks (such as driving), as well as increased levels of anger, confusion, and depression; similar reactions should be expected with concomitant use of other CNS depressants.
