DIPHENHYDRAMINE (dye fen HYE dra meen) treats the symptoms of allergies and allergic reactions. It may also be used to prevent and treat motion sickness or the symptoms of Parkinson disease. It works by blocking histamine, a substance released by the body during an allergic reaction. It belongs to a group of medications called antihistamines.

Doxercalciferol 2.5mcg, Oral capsule
• Interaction: Grapefruit juice• Severity: Moderate• Notes for Consumers: Grapefruit juice and grapefruit-containing foods may decrease the effectiveness of Doxercalciferol. Do not significantly increase grapefruit juice intake while taking this drug, or avoid grapefruit juice if possible. Report any change in your response to the Doxercalciferol treatment to your prescriber.• Notes for Professionals: Although not specifically studied, cytochrome P450 enzyme inhibitors, such as grapefruit juice, may inhibit the 25-hydroxylation of doxercalciferol, thereby decreasing the formation of the active metabolite and thus, decreasing efficacy. Patients should be monitored for a decrease in efficacy.
