Brigatinib 30mg, Oral tablet
• Interaction: Grapefruit juice• Severity: Major• Notes for Consumers: Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice without talking to your prescriber during treatment with Brigatinib. Grapefruit can increase the amount of Brigatinib in your blood and lead to increased side effects. Discuss any other new or worsening side effects such as nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, shortness of breath, chest pain, cough, headache, dizziness, feeling faint or lightheaded, vision problems, muscle pain or weakness, abdominal pain, increased hunger or thirst, or increased urination with your health care provider.• Notes for Professionals: Instruct patients to avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice while receiving brigatinib due to the potential for increased exposure to brigatinib. Brigatinib is a CYP3A4 substrate; grapefruit is a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor. Coadministration with another strong CYP3A inhibitor increased the AUC and Cmax of brigatinib by 101% and 21%, respectively.
