NEDOCROMIL (ne doe KROE mil) is used in the eye to treat itching caused by eye allergies.
This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.

This medicine is only for use in the eye. Do not take by mouth. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Wash hands before and after use. Tilt your head back slightly and pull your lower eyelid down with your index finger to form a pouch. Try not to touch the tip of the dropper to your eye, fingertips, or any other surface. Squeeze the prescribed number of drops into the pouch. Close the eye for a few moments to spread the drops. If you are using single-use containers, use the drops immediately after opening. Throw away immediately after using. Use your medicine at regular intervals. Do not use it more often than directed.
Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. While this drug may be prescribed for children as young as 3 for selected conditions, precautions do apply.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
NOTE: This medicine is only for you. Do not share this medicine with others.

Interactions are not expected. Do not use any other eye products without asking your doctor or health care professional.

Tell your doctor or health care professional if your symptoms do not start to get better or if they get worse.
You should avoid wearing contact lenses while you have signs and symptoms of an eye allergy. Ask your doctor or health care professional when you can wear your lenses again.
Even if your allergy symptoms go away, keep using this medicine until pollen season is over or until you are no longer exposed to the allergen that causes your symptoms.
Wear sunglasses if this medicine makes your eyes more sensitive to sunlight.

If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, use only that dose. Do not use double or extra doses.

Side effects that you should report to your doctor or health care professional as soon as possible:
•allergic reactions like skin rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue
•redness around the eye
•redness in the white part of the eye
•swelling of the area covering the white part of the eye
Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report to your doctor or health care professional if they continue or are bothersome):
•bad taste in mouth
•headache
•runny or stuffy nose

Keep out of the reach of children.
Store between 2 and 25 degrees C (36 and 77 degrees F). Do not freeze. Keep bottle tightly closed when not in use. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.
